"The property is just as it looks in the pictures. We had a ground floor apartment with a small verandah with table and chairs. The accommodation was very clean and offered daily room service. It also has a small kitchenette area if you want to cook your own meals but eating out was not too expensive. The apartments are walking distance to the Friday night Gros Islet street party but not too close to be disturbed by the noise (although there is a pan yard across the road but if you like calypso music you will enjoy hearing them practice once a week). The owners ensured that our stay was very comfortable and we always felt very safe no matter what time of the day or night. On occasions we travelled into Rodney Bay to the restaurants and bars, if you enjoy a lot of night life that is the place to be but it was nice to get away from it. I would definitely recommend Chez Marie to any of my friends and to you all if you are looking for a no frills but comfortable accommodation and look forward to visiting again myself."

"We visited St. Lucia in April 2004 and the hotel we were originally booked into turned out to be a dump. It was so disgusting that we were about to leave St. Lucia after spending only 1 night , instead of 5, when a friend recommended Chez Marie. The facilities were excellent at a very reasonable rate and the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. Chez Marie saved our St. Lucian holiday - without the owner and staff there, we would have left St. Lucia feeling bitter and disappointed!!!"
