Just northeast of downtown lies Fort Sam Houston, another "must-see" for history buffs.
The River Walk offers cobblestone and flagstone paths bordering both sides of the San Antonio River as it winds its way through the middle of the business district. The River Walk has multiple personalities - quiet and park-like in some stretches, while other areas are full of activity with European-style sidewalk cafes, specialty boutiques, nightclubs and gleaming high-rise hotels.
The King William Historic District is home to many restaurants, art galleries, collectible shops and boutiques. Original art is shown monthly at our premier event, First Friday. Originally started by Robbi and two other neighborhood women entrepreneurs, First Friday has become a well known San Antonio attraction. Held the first Friday evening of each month, the work of Texas artists is displayed in galleries, shops, offices, restaurants and outside on lawns to the strains of live music.

The Riverwalk is a short two block walk while our
location on Alamo Street is walking distance to the convention
center, hotels, shopping, downtown entertainment, restaurants and
attractions. The
downtown trolley stops outside our door. It provides a
quick alternative if riding is preferred.
