Activities/Attractions: Pennsylvania Dutch Country is an area that visitors have grown to love. Here you'll discover Amish communities where life moves at a slower pace and centers around time-honored traditions and values. You'll find beautiful scenery dotted with one-room schoolhouses and wooden covered bridges, modern farm machinery being pulled behind four-and six-mule teams, homemade clothing and quilts gently blowing in the breeze, and where you'll hear the clip-clop of horses' hooves echoing down quiet country roads.

The relaxing atmosphere, the peaceful scenery, and the variety of our many unique attractions and family activities have made Lancaster County one of America's favorite vacation destinations. Over five million people visit Lancaster County each year. Many people return here year after year because they find Lancaster County so special. Kathy would be happy to help plan your itinerary so you can see and do as much as you would like. Each one is done for your individual desires. She even has some ideas that aren't easily listed.

  • Wonderful dining
  • Take a day trip to Hershey, we are just 20 minutes away
  • Try Bube's Brewery
  • Nissley Vineyards is open all year for tours. In the summer they offer Music in the Vineyards
  • A new opportunity to enjoy our Susquehanna River would be in kayaking
  • Shank's Mare offers lessons, rentals and great "parties"
  • Something new in Lancaster city is "Living Experience" about the underground railroad, this is so unusual you will surely want to allow time to see it

"We loved Vogt Farms! From the drive up the drive way I was in love. This was our first trip to a B&B and we are hooked now. The only problem is we don't want to stay anywhere else. Keith and Kathy have spoiled us! We will be visiting again soon. The charm of their family farm house is unbeatable. They provide every thing you could possible think of, from bath salts to maps of the Amish countryside. The soaking tubs are to die for. Kathy is a great cook and they will keep your breakfast fun and full of stories. If you have never tried a B&B make this one your first!"

"We've done many B&Bs but this place goes to the top of the list."

"From the second we drove in to the farm, the Vogt family treated us like one of their own. Our luggage was carried to our beautiful second story room with an adjacent deck to look out over the cornfields. Treats and drinks were available for our choosing. Fancy robes were found in the homey closets. Kathy had a wonderful charm as she discussed the wonders of parenthood and we shared the history of the curious cats on the farm. A sunset walk was just out the door. We are coming back next spring with our daughter who will be graduating. Thanks, Family Vogt!"

"You've thought of everything, right down to the nicest amenities."

"The Vogt Farm B&B is fantastic. Every amenity is offered with a special attention to detail. Each room is beautifully decorated with wall murals and faux-fireplaces and warm cushy robes. Immaculately clean. Fresh brewed coffee waiting for you first thing in the morning and a delicious home made breakfast too. Extra considerate hosts... Kathy & Keith make you feel like family. Would HIGHLY recommend this place!"
