Activities/Attractions: Lake Iseo is the fourth largest lake in the Lombardy region of Italy, situated just north of Brescia and Bergamo. It is not well known outside Italy and, therefore, less touristy.

There is Monte Isola, the largest inland lake island in Europe. The Pyramids of Zone are pinnacles of earth up to ten metres high, caused by erosion. On the western lakeshore are the bogns of Castro and Zorzino, sheets of limestone that plunge into the lake.

North of the lake in Val Camino, you can see hundreds of prehistoric rock carvings. To the south is the Torbiere peat bog and Franciacorta, the area of production of the renowned sparkling wine.

Iseo fascinates the visitor for the elegance and sobriety of its historical centre, it enchants for the ancient churches and buildings, where interesting works of art are kept. On the lake-front, where the promenaders flow is continuous, several restaurants and pizzerias make up gathering points for the visitors as well as good opportunities to discover the tastes of a genuine and fanciful cuisine.

From the tourist port, leave the boats to Montisola and to the other places of the lake. Iseo was an imposing commercial centre in Roman age, its active port representing for the town the real economic strength up to the last century. The textile industry had an important role in Iseo development; in 1600 the silk growing was followed by the construction of a silk mill, a workshop for the twisting of the flax, a dye factory and some tanneries. The town territory extends from the “Torbiere” Natural Reserve to the hamlet of Pilzone.

General Information: Welcome to La Mansarda Self Catering Accommodation ... located in the heart of Iseo's historical center, a few steps away from the Marconi lake front.

La Mansarda is located in the heart of Iseo historical center , precisely in Statuto Square, adjacent to the suggestive Garibaldi Square with its peculiar statue devoted to the "Two Worlds" Hero. It is 100 meters away from the very popular Marconi lakefront, the Iseo main street where, from Porto Rosa, the boats to Monteisola, the greatest lake island in Europe, leave. On the lakefront there are restaurants, pizzerie, ice-cream shops and cafes as well as the Tourist Office.

La Mansarda is a few kilometers from the Torbiere Natural Park, a reserve where migratory birds of rare beauty live and nest. At about 1 kilometer, are the swimming pools of Sassabanek Tourist Center, where you can relax and refresh during the hot hours of the day.

The flat has two finely finished bedrooms, a spacious living-room, a well equipped cooking corner and a bathroom. The bedrooms are well finished and with wood floors and each room has a balcony.
