Activities/Attractions: Fano is a town and commune of the province of Pesaro and Urbino in the Marche region of Italy. It is a beach resort 12 km southeast of Pesaro, located where the Via Flaminia reaches the Adriatic Sea. It is the third city in the region by population after Ancona and Pesaro.

Villa Giulia quietly stands in the middle of nature, looking out onto the sea amidst gentle hills that are used for growing wheat, grapes and olives. "Villa Giulia is a gem. It sits on a small hill, overlooking the Adriatic. We stayed in the dependency in a large, well furnished room with an ocean view. We were greeted with great affability, offered a refreshing drink and shown around the extensive grounds. The villa is a gorgeous, comfortable Napoleonic era building with large doors opening onto a wide lawn. Food was well prepared and more than ample. We shall return!"

"This is a hotel with a small number of rooms combined with a small number of self catering cottages set in a vineyard and olive grove. It really is idyllic. It is quite small and there is a very friendly atmosphere created by the small team who look after you. They gave us lots of advice on where to find local produce - wine and olive oil. Swimming in the pool in the middle of an olive grove was definitely unique! Would recommend this to anyone."

The Apartments are furnished in the same style as the Villa: valuable pieces of furniture from various historical periods that belong to the family and precious furnishings and fittings that are made in typical country style from the Marche region. The apartments' large windows overlook the sea, the fields on the hills or the town of Fano. There are some peaceful corners in the garden with barbecues where you can grill local fish from the Adriatic Sea or meat from the Apennine mountains. There are three types of apartments at Villa Giulia:

• for 2 people: spacious studio apartments with a lounge area equipped with a double bed, a cooking corner and a bathroom with shower
  
• for 2-4 people: a double bedroom, a large lounge with a double sofa-bed, a large cooking area and a bathroom with shower
  

• for 4-6 people: this type of apartment has two bedrooms, one double one and one twin or double room, a lounge with a double sofa-bed, a large cooking area and two bathrooms, one of which has a shower and a bath tub
