During the spring - fall seasons, flowers and vegetable gardens at the Inn attract numerous butterflies! Frequently deer may be spied while relaxing on the balcony. In the winter, we keep sleds on hand for when it snows!

General Information: The 1878 Sage Inn and Stagecoach Station Bed and Breakfast in Dover, Kansas was built in 1865 at the base of the Kansas Flinthills to offer food and lodging to travelers on the Southwest Trail. The Sage Inn features 18 inch limestone walls, hand-sawn cedar shingle roof, and wide plank pine floors.

It is a full three story structure built into the side of a hill, giving it a two-story appearance from the front. The Folk Victorian has been completely restored and appointed with antique furnishings. Each room has its own unique decor, and each has a private bath. No common walls adjoin rooms, ensuring complete privacy. Suites may be arranged by combining more than one room on the upper and lower floors. All guests have access to a commons area for reading, watching TV or playing games.

• Rooms have security locks. Guests are given keys to own room and to exterior, making it easy for them to come and go
  
• The Inn is a non-smoking facility, however there are smoke pots on the deck, patio and front porch. Please discard cigarette butts where designated
  
• Telephones are available for making local calls and long-distance calls when using a calling card. Fax/Copier also available
  
• Both Book and Video Libraries and Satellite TV are available. Also a variety of music and games to play for guests' enjoyment
  
• Fully Air Conditioned. Extra blankets, pillows, fans, portable heaters are yours for the asking
  
• A large balcony & deck provides tree-top overlook onto wooded area. You may request to have meals served outside on the balcony
  
• Refreshments/Snacks are kept stocked in the commons room so that guests may help themselves. Flavored teas, coffees and cappuccino can be prepared of an evening or a bag of hot buttered pop corn to eat while watching your movie
