Nearby Attractions: The Town of LaSalle is situated on the banks of the Detroit River on what is known as the "Nautical Mile" in the County of Essex.  With a current population of over 27, 000, LaSalle is still one of the fastest growing communities in Southwestern Ontario. The history of LaSalle became very much entwined into that of the City of Windsor and was captured as a suburb of the City of Windsor.  In 1991, residents of LaSalle decided to define themselves as a separate community, and in turn, became one of the larger communities of Essex County.

The Town of LaSalle's Leisure Services Department offers a wide variety of programs and facilities to local residents and visitors.  Our daily operations include the care of over 100 acres of parkland, and the administration of Colonel Bishop Community Centre, LaSalle Pool, and Centennial Arena. In addition, we assist with many special events, company picnics and gatherings organized in the town parks.
