Activities/Attractions: The old village of Entraigues sits on a small hill, around its church. Its shops and services tend to be found on the lower land which slopes down to the River Sorgue which borders the village. On Rue de la Tour you can visit Saint Pierre's church which can be found amongst the village houses and was built in 1840 on the foundations of the former Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs church. Opposite the church is the Templiers tower, a relic from the first feudal château.

The red brick town hall, which is more like a railway station is surrounded by the village shops. Further on along the road which leads to Bédarrides, a small bridge crosses the Sorgue. Here in summer you can "freshen up" on the banks of the river, a real pleasure! Located midway between Avignon and Carpentras, you will be able to discover in the near surroundings:

Avignon contains many 16th-18th century houses. There are six churches that were constructed from the 14th to the 17th century. Two of these belonged to the 14th century lay groups known as the pénitents noirs.

The University of Avignon was established in 1973.  The Festival d’Avignon, which began in 1947, is an annual performing arts festival that was started by Jean Vilar. Vilar died in 1971, but his festival continues with average annual attendance of 140,000 spectators.

Its month long schedule includes classical and contemporary theater productions, ballet and music. The historic center of town and the château have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You can try some of those typical Provençal meals, all prepared according to family cooking traditions like "Gigot d’agneau", "La bouillabaisse", "La daube provençale" or her famous chocolate cake … all served with a good "Côte du Rhône"! Everything is home-made and fresh from the market!
