Activities/Attractions: White River lies just north of Nelspruit nor far from the border with Kruger National Park. It is not a large town but there are some stunning establishments in the fertile surrounding area of scenic beauty. White River is well placed for visiting the rest of the Panorama Route or Kruger National Park.
The climate is said to be one of the best in South Africa, lovely and hot in summer when rainfall is at its highest and cool nights during the winter. The farms in White River tend to be relatively small but the agriculture is intensive with tropical and citrus fruits in abundance, and vegetables and cut flowers.
Mpumalanga, which means "land of the rising sun" in
the local SiSwati language, has it all -- from exhilarating
wildlife, to secluded mountain retreats, ancient ruined cities,
wild water sports, and some of South Africa's most diverse and
vibrant African cultures.
The province's year-round sunny weather, soaring peaks, steamy
jungles and expansive waterways have also made it home to a
bewildering array of adventure sport, from expeditions down the
world's oldest caves, to taking flight at the continent's
largest paragliding festival.
Mpumalanga covers almost 80 000 square kilometres of what some may call God's own country. All of it begs to be explored, from rolling highlands to the lofty escarpment and lush wetlands.
General Information: The owner, Issy de Lira, would like to invite you to Ambience Inn B&B ... a newly built bed and breakfast set in a 2-acre rambling plants man's garden in the secure, up market part of White River. We are close to the world reknowned Kruger National Park, in the heart of the subtropical South African Lowveld. Only three hours drive from Johannesburg, we like to pamper and spoil our guests. Ambience Inn has six comfortable bedrooms each with:
