"We are just back from a wonderful holiday trip to New Zealand and Australia where one of our trip highlights was staying at this unique Bed and Breakfast for 3 days! John and Kathie Ryan, our hosts, welcomed us as if we were family invited over for the Christmas holidays! Their gardens are absolutely superb, the house is charming and the food - well, it was unsurpassed! John's blueberry coffeecake, in particularly, was really delicious and the setting - well, it's so beautiful that it's hard to believe. Imagine sitting down to a beautifully presented, different breakfast each day on a wide veranda overlooking a sumptuous garden with local lorikeets and other colorful birds singing in the trees while you eat - fantastic! The house is a dream, a colorful "Queenslander" complete with exquisite interior design, a private sitting room for guests and a bathtub spa! John and Kathie arranged some tours to Fraser and Lady Elliot islands that were just what we wanted, with convenient pickup just outside their door one day and an easy drive to the local airport for our Lady Elliot excursion the next. They were just so helpful and gracious in all ways that I can't say enough good things about them! If your B&B requirements center on a great location, relaxing surroundings, wonderful food and gracious hosts, then this is the place for you - it was simply the best B&B that we've ever stayed in!"
General Information: Welcome to Chamomile Bed and Breakfast - Hervey Bay ... our aim is that you will be able to rest, relax and recharge during your stay with us. The Chamomile Bed and Breakfast is the perfect place to slow down and relax as our name suggests. When you arrive we suggest you sit on the wide shady verandah overlooking our beautiful garden.
De-stress as you listen to the sound of the waterfall and the ever-present bird calls as you enjoy our complimentary afternoon tea, with your choice of Twinnings tea or perhaps a latte or cappuccino, and Kathie's delicious home baked goodies. We have three fresh country-style guest rooms to choose from, as well as massage facilities.
The Heartsease Room is
decorated in romantic and restful shades of blue and pink with
white furniture and a Queen Bed, making it the perfect place for a
couple to relax.
The Lemon Balm Room is decorated in
fresh shades of green and lemon, reminiscent of the lemon balm
herb. The beautiful white, cast iron king single beds mean that you
have plenty of room to stretch out and relax.
While you are staying with us why not book in for a massage. John has a Dip RT of Therapeutic Massage. The Raynor technique utilizes elements of reflexology, shiatsu, deep tissue and aromatherapy. Other amenities include:

"Twice now, my husband and I have stayed with John and Kathie at the Chamomile Bed and Breakfast in Hervey Bay. We both think that theirs is the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they welcome you into their home with warmth and friendliness. John's coffee is superb, as is his breakfast specialty, rosti topped with smoked salmon. The rooms are peaceful and restful, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom pleasantly decorated. The grounds feature a wonderful rock pool and the gardens are a delight. A flock of rainbow lorikeets and other colourful and noisy birds have Chamomile as a regular breakfast stop, and their raucous feeding is thoroughly enjoyable to watch. The verandah is delightfully wide, with a very comfortable lounge in a gazebo corner... all in all, it's wonderful place to stay! Chamomile will always be our first choice when staying in the area."
"John and Kathie are great people to stay with. They are very friendly and make you feel very welcome part of their home. Happy to chat with you if you want a chat and seemed to know when we wanted to be alone. Beds were very comfortable and the facilities were great. Awesome brekkie and John makes a superb coffee. You really need to experience this B&B, we know they will be our first choice if we are up that way again."
