In 1784, Admiral John Parr, Governor-General of Nova Scotia, granted its present site, then known as Mill Village, to the residents. The town was relocated and renamed Parrsboro. Many of its stately homes were built in the 1800's. The town was incorporated in 1889. The prime industries of this town of 1600 are tourism, blueberries, strawberries, metal fabrication and forestry. The Inn is within walking distance of professional summer theatre and the Fundy Geological Museum. A public golf course with panoramic view is a five minute drive away. View the world's highest tide, comb the beaches for fossils and semi-precious stones, or capture our spectacular scenery on film. Click here for more area activities and attractions. |
